Second day of stone-picking battle on the coast of Fukuoka Prefecture | Memories No. 7 |

Stone picking trip|Tomigahana coast, Fukuoka prefecture

February 6, 2016.

2nd day of company trip.
Free movement throughout the day. Since last night, I haven’t felt like I’m on a company trip at all.

Designer E, female designers O and I, and newcomers M and T. And six of me.
We set off in a rental car.

Our destination is Tomigahana, the northernmost cape in Kyushu.
This is a favorite spot that Designer E had carefully prepared and searched for in books and on the internet.

arrived.

A cliff carved into a streamlined shape. Full of northernmost feeling. the wind is strong.
It seems that there is an ocean at the bottom of the cliff, but how do we get down there?
Looking down from the edge of the cliff, it’s pretty scary because it’s quite high up.
Everyone was excited by the atmosphere of the northernmost tip of Kyushu and was snapping photos.
That’s when I noticed something strange.

that? What about Designer I?
Where where.

picture.

not present.
But there’s nowhere to get off.
picture.

I am a female designer with thin lines.
No way. A cliff blown away by the wind.

A catastrophe that flashed through everyone’s heads.

No, no, no, no.
no
but.

I looked down at the bottom of the cliff.

Star star. Designer I walking along the beach.

Eh! !

What’s this?
Is it instantaneous movement? A jumper?

Designer I points his finger here and there.
If you walk in that direction, a part of the cliff has been carved out so that you can descend to the coast (I think so).

There is a slope just along the cliff.

Here,,. Did it go down?
It’s quite a steep slope, and if you slip, you’ll be out.

But this is also to pick up good stones.

Designers walk down the hill side by side, hunched over.
scary scary.

Somehow, everyone managed to get down to the shore safely.
I had been sliding down the hill on my butt, so there was a lot of ocher soil on it.

An indescribably spectacular cliff landscape.

The streamlined shape of the strata is cool.

Everyone immediately started picking them up.
Which one would I pick up too?

To be honest, Shikajima yesterday was just an ordinary stone.
It’s not exciting to see a coast filled with grayish stones with so few types.
As I was picking them up, I looked around at the countless stones and thought to myself, “Oh, what on earth is this doing?”

but!
Tomigahana was different! Colorful stones are scattered on the sandy beach base! It has been polished by the rough waves!
Completely meets certain standards for stone picking!
Everyone was enthusiastically picking up stones, just thinking about it.

oh.
Pick up stones! Pick up stones! Is it something to lose?
The battle had already begun.

There are stones scattered around in the puddles in the hollows of the streamlined terrain.
Hmm, there’s something that really touches my heart.

Newcomer M-kun is taking a break.
“It’s a shame that these old designers are picking up stones.”

I’m sure you’ll pick it up soon too.
Show me what’s inside that plastic bag.

Such an attractive shape.
“I’d like to sleep in this hole,” said Designer E.

Yeah, stay asleep. In the meantime, I’ll pick up some wonderful stones!
Where has my usual gentle stone-picking heart gone? Picking up stones with full fighting spirit.

Gogogogogo.

Let’s calm down a little.

The rocky area may be uneven, or it may be streamlined as before. It’s a really strange terrain and really interesting.

,,,,,.

Just like that, I finished picking up stones.

I decided to go back to Hakata for dinner.

Good job everyone picking up stones.
Delicious delicious fresh fish dinner.
Enjoy moving squid sashimi.

Sashimi sashimi.

Stones picked up at sea|Tomigahana coast, Fukuoka prefecture

Now, what about the stone you picked up?
When I took it home, washed it, dried it, and laid it out, it looked plain.
The stones, which were colorful and sparkling when wet, quickly turned into dull, dull-looking stones when they dried.
Ugggg.
How many times have you picked up stones? How can you forget such basic common sense when picking up stones?
It was my first time picking up stones in Kyushu, and I was completely excited to be picking up stones with a large group of people.
The road to becoming the Saint of Stone, the Saint of Stone, was a long way off. .

Well, it was fun, okay?
