I’m currently collecting stones in the sea in Fukui for the first time in three years | Memories No. 116 |

November 3, 2022.
Cream soda gummy. The incident occurred in a parking area during a break on the bus bound for Fukui.
Fukui. Yes, picking up stones with TADA. Picking up stones for the first time in 3 years since the corona virus has calmed down. Gummies are a must when picking up rocks. You can listen to your favorite music and be swayed by the bus while imagining the sea of Fukui that you will visit soon.
TADA waits at Fukui station.

Confluence.
TADA, how are you doing? Apparently, my son is growing up fast and will be in elementary school next April. quick. Time passes too fast. Elementary school students have a hard time. Classes, sports, lessons, Youtube, online games, there’s so much more. There’s a lot to do. There are also many play options. Endless games and videos without having to buy them. It’s scary to think about what it would be like if I were born into this world and become an elementary school student. There is a possibility of complete withdrawal.
Now that I think about it, what happened to Ishi’s education for gifted people?
TADA: “I’m not interested in stones anymore. Fortnite.”
Boom.

No, I can’t help it. I would have played Fortnite too if it existed. perhaps. There was a time when the amount of software available was limited and only available on CRT TVs, and people played games in secret, even if their parents didn’t like them. That might have been just the right thing for someone like me who doesn’t have much self-control. (Although I was doing a lot of work in secret)
As a result of this, I sometimes did not pick up stones to kill time when I was a child.

What about TADA and the stones? What about stone activity during the coronavirus?
TADA: “I also played Fortnite.”
Gyaaaan.
Is there such a thing? Even though TADA had no interest in games. Awesome Fortnite.

Stone picking trip|Fukui Prefecture coast

arrived.
When you think of Fukui, you think of this beach. Calm and calm sea, beautiful stones. Maybe it won’t disappoint my expectations. However, the number of stones has been decreasing in recent years. I’ve been complaining about the overfishing of TADA, but this is a beach and stones are removed every time the season approaches.

I don’t care about that. If I can pick up even a few stones here. Every stone here is a great joy.

At first glance, it looks like an ordinary beach of sand and gravel, but if you look closely, you will notice that there are beautiful small stones shining. Although they don’t have as much presence as Aomori’s stones, they are modest and yet not plain, and there are many cute stones. There are many parts of it that I find more attractive than the stones of Aomori, and I realized once again that I was right in thinking that it was a hidden sacred place.

The waves at the stone spot on the Sea of Japan side are strong, but the sea in Fukui is calm. This beach in particular has tetrapods, so it’s easy to pick up stones. However, if you get carried away and hit the water’s edge too much, your feet will get wet.

This size and versatility. The photo doesn’t really show it, but it’s amazing. I’ve said it over and over again, but lately I’ve been liking stones of this size. I don’t have to worry about increasing the amount of photos I take, and when I shoot with a newly purchased macro lens, an infinite world opens up in my small world. I want to make a photo book of rock surface exploration. make. Everyone please buy it then. Please use it as funds for your next stone journey.

That’s nice.
I really like it.

A pufferfish rising up. join hands.

Silently, TADA and I each pick it up.
Rolling around.

Rolling around.

Sasansasasan.

Look out at the ocean and pick up stones and enjoy the sound of the waves. The weather is nice too. I’m lucky in Fukui, where it’s rarely sunny.

I scold the beach. Because there is another fun agate. Agate is wet with water and shines on sunny days.

However, agate is not easy to find.

When I found a large stone and decided I didn’t need it after all, I dropped it and the gravel turned into a crater, which was interesting. This size is rare.

Don.

Plants grow. Why does it grow on such a nutrient-poor sandy beach? Nature is amazing. The stones are amazing too.

I’m curious. And that’s the end of picking up stones here.
Today I have to take a day trip and see other beaches.

The stone I picked up looks like this. No, it’s twelve stones, but whose stones are these? I don’t think it’s a TADA stone. Where is the TADA stone? I’m sure they were taking pictures, but they weren’t. I don’t think this is it.

This is the stone I picked up. Wonderful small, colorful stones. That’s not all. There is one more thing. I was excited to see the sea in Fukui for the first time in a while and ended up picking it up too much.

Closer cut. good. Really good. Third from the top in the leftmost column. Although it is a fairly small stone, the color is bright like a mango and smooth like the gradation of a sunset.

The stone on the top right is hard to tell, but it has an interesting texture like pottery.

A stone paradise. Beautiful small agate is also included, and it is rare to find such a selection of stones. There were some pretty nice stones today.

The third row from the left, the third pebble from the top, is a mottled black and orange pebble, which looks like the pattern of a giant salamander and is unusual. It looks like something I’ve never seen before.

The second row from the left, the bottom stone is petrified wood. fossilized wood. Beautiful skin color and shiny. It’s classy and very nice.

This time, I also picked up some very small stones. Pebbles between gravel and stones. When it gets smaller, the pieces are shaved off and become rounded, so there are fewer flaws for me, such as nice color but bad shape, and unnecessary scratches. On the other hand, because large stones have a large surface area, it is extremely difficult to find a stone that has the perfect shape, color, development, texture, and density.

good.

I get so happy that I take too many photos.

Just when I thought that was enough, I suddenly found another group of stones. From the closer cut.

Mmmmm, these are also wonderful pebbles.

However, for some reason they have been gathered together as the second army.

Still beautiful.
It’s very hard to see, but the bottom stone in the second row from the left is a pebble with an unusual pattern of dark green and brown mottling. On this beach, there is one pebble with an unusual color or pattern. Even if you try to find another stone with the same pattern, you won’t be able to find it.

Pull cut. I picked up a lot. However, since they are small, they are not too bulky.

A photo of a stone against a white background. dark. No corrections will be made.
Twelve stones lined with stones. I tried to put together a collection of stones that look a bit primitive and unique, like pottery or clay figurines. Also, take well-taken photos on SNS such as Instagram.
→Various stones I have picked up so far

Twelve stones like asteroids.

Twelve stones that make you feel the four seasons of Japan.

This is also a 12 stone stone with a sense of Japanese and wabi-sabi.

wonderful. The wonderful sea of Fukui. Vicroy.
And the TADA stone went somewhere.
I became immersed in my stone world and forgot everything else.
What do you think of it as a stone diary?

Next time, we will continue picking up stones in Fukui with TADA. Next time, check out the trends of TADA!
