Stone picking trip｜Kanagawa prefecture coast

I had business in Tokyo, so I made a detour to the Kanagawa coast.
I thought about stopping the memory diaries and sticking to “The Light of Stones” (photo records only), but here I am, sharing this rambling diary.
I visit this beach often. Since I’ve written about it many times before, there’s nothing particularly new to write about.
At first glance, it seems like just a collection of gray stones, but…
When you look closely, there are many stones that resemble planets, making it feel like a miniature universe.

Stone God, what is this?
Stone God
In this photo, what appears to be a purple sea urchin is resting on a stone. Sea urchins are often found along the coast or underwater, especially in rocky areas or on the ocean floor. The stones in the photo come in various shapes and colors, which seem to align perfectly with your stone-gathering theme. The contrast between the sea urchin and the stone is truly beautiful.
The cosmic-like feel of the beach just doesn’t come through at all in the photo.
You won’t understand the experience of stone collecting until you try it.
Not at all understood.
When wet, the patterns stand out, but even that isn’t clear.
Countless stones scattered around.
Strong waves.
Spray and sparkle.
The sun tilts.
Light.
I picked them up, lined them up, and took a photo, but the stones are out of focus.
It’s all blurry.
A stone that didn’t make the cut. It’s in sharp focus.

The stones I picked up look like this. There are many of them. A collection of planets.
Beautiful stones, indeed.
Next time, I’ll go stone collecting in Kanagawa again. I’ll focus on the light of the stones (just photo records). Finally, I’ll be collecting stones with Ishizukida-san in Mie. And then, the last stone collection with 384 approaches. Aomori, forever.
