Warping stones, picking up stones in the Fukui sea for the first time in three years | Memories No. 117 |
November 3, 2022.
Continue to pick up stones in the Fukui sea.
TADA walks steadily towards the next sea.
I should have been satisfied with picking up stones at the beach last time, but I have plans to pick up stones at three more beaches. The journey of collecting stones never ends. By the way, general sightseeing is not included in a trip with TADA, regardless of whether it is in Fukui.
The weather is very nice.
There is a 50% chance that it will be cloudy or rainy in Fukui. I don’t care if it’s raining or not, I pick up rocks, but I really prefer it when it’s sunny. Fukui’s beautiful sea shines brightly, but most of all, when the stones get wet from the rain, it’s difficult to distinguish the colors, which is a problem.
As I have written many times, the area near the coast where you can collect stones has not been turned into a tourist destination. The city overlooking the sea is calm and comfortable. However, it is often a problem because there are no restaurants nearby.
Chun chun chun.
TADA walks steadily.
Zunzun zun.
There is a private house and you can see the sea. The wind is very pleasant.
Should I live in Fukui? That’s what I think.
good.
Ocean.
Walk a little more.
A lot of things. Zazaan.
The scenery is beautiful and I can’t help but take lots of photos.
Then TADA disappeared.
Wait. I want to go to the coast first and get some nice stones for myself.
Wait, wait, wait.
Where?
Stone picking trip|Fukui prefecture coast
While chasing TADA, we arrived at the coast.
The stone looks like this. Is that a parking lot?
Is there still an explanation about the parking lot? Let’s make this the last one.
At first glance, the beach looks like a parking lot with only gray stones scattered about, but I just call it a parking lot. Even plain and simple stones have their own charm, and there are many beautiful stones out there, so as someone who loves stones, I don’t think I should repeat this phrase over and over again, but I can’t help it.
I would like to write this for those who are just starting to pick up stones. Most of the stones on the coast look gray like this from a distance, but if you look closely, you can find some stones with interesting shapes, colors, and patterns. Among them, find a stone that resonates with your heart. And keep it in your heart as a stone of memory.
It’s a memory of the journey, a memory of the sea, just for me.
Water is flowing from somewhere. It appears to be flowing into the sea, creating a small current.
Apparently this rock? soil? It seems to be flowing from.
A decent wave, not too violent. But don’t let your guard down. If you get your feet wet picking up stones from the beach, you’ll lose all motivation to do it.
If you look closely at the soil and rock walls, you’ll see countless chunks of stone sticking out.
There are no stones of particular interest.
There are scattered red stones in the gray. When wet with water, gray stones turn blackish and red stones turn redder. Now you can understand how difficult it is to pick up stones on a rainy day.
But for some reason, my body was drawn to the edge of the ocean where there were wet stones.
I had a faint hope that a new stone might have washed up, but it looked like a stone with a nice color. Even though I know that once it dries, it will change again. Humans are foolish.
A very beautiful sea. The photo doesn’t show it at all, but there are stones with some kind of undulating pattern hidden among the gray and beche stones. What is this. This is a major feature of the stones on this coast.
Well, well, well. I don’t know.
Wait a minute, now that I think about it, what happened to TADA and where is it? I haven’t been able to follow TADA’s trends at all.
Just like that, the stone collection ended.
The stone I picked up looks like this. Red-black stones and undulating stones. It looks like a tunnel that transcends time and space, warping. It is rare to see such a undulating pattern on other coasts.
Uneune series.

I took another photo of the stone. In the end, everything is undulating. The red-black stone was left alone. This undulating warp stone is a coastal feature and memorial.
A cut with a slightly different angle. The impression remains almost unchanged. And the goodness of the undone is not conveyed at all. I’ll take some nice photos someday.

And where did TADA go and what kind of stone did he pick up?
I couldn’t record it again. He is disqualified as a stone person.
Next time, we will continue collecting stones in Fukui with TADA. Next time, check out the trends of TADA!
