Day 1 of the battle to pick up stones on the coast of Fukuoka Prefecture | Memories No. 6 |
Stone picking trip|Shikajima coast, Fukuoka prefecture
February 5, 2016.
The company I work for has a company trip for three days starting today.
The destination is Fukuoka Prefecture. Other than movement and some meals, they seem to be able to move freely.
I see,,.
This is an incredible opportunity! I want to know what the stones of Fukuoka are like.
The only option for free movement is to go on a trip to pick up stones.
By the way, there are six designers in the production room where I work.
I decided to take everyone along on the trip to pick up stones.
I have shown the employees the stones I have picked up many times, so they have a fair amount of understanding about picking up stones. We decided to rent a seven-seater rental car in Hakata and spend two days picking up stones at two beaches.
While traveling by Shinkansen from Nagoya,
Because I talk too much about picking up rocks, the designers and copywriters in other production rooms also hear about it.
noisy,,.
What, what is picking up stones? What do you do with the stones you picked up? What’s good about stones? That’s just a stone, right? OK?
The Shinkansen train was filled with doubts and distrust about the stone picking.
However, some people showed some interest. The boss of the office, Y, whose hobby is mountain climbing, and M, a newcomer.
Boss Y seems to like to climb mountains during his free time, so I couldn’t ask him to pick up stones, so Designer E and I talked endlessly to newcomer M about the wonders of stones. Colors, shapes, textures, the sound of the sea, the sound of the wind. A luxurious time just picking up stones while reflecting the scene in your mind. Brainwashing complete.
Newcomer M has decided to participate in the Fukuoka stone picking tour. I was glad that the car had room for one person.
In about 3 hours, we will arrive at Hakata Station.
The plan for the first day is
After having lunch with all employees in Hakata, we had free time. Afterwards, all the employees had dinner together at an inn and had free time.
It’s all about free movement. Can this be called a company trip?
After everyone had a fun lunch, we headed out in our rental car!
We decided to pick up stones at a place called Shikanoshima.
晴天。
志賀島への車道は、すぐ隣に海がある。気持ちのいい風景。
Arrived at the coast.
There weren’t that many types of stones, and the surface wasn’t very polished, so it was a normal tension for picking up stones.
On this day, about five people collected stones. The second day is the favorite spot for picking up stones, so I guess I’ll just pick up some stones there.
Designer E and I are getting used to picking up rocks, so we said it was pretty normal, but the other three seemed to be enjoying picking up rocks in the sea for the first time. Good, good.
Stones picked up at sea | Coast of Shikajima, Fukuoka Prefecture
Look at the stones you picked up side by side.
Volcanic rock? I think the most distinctive feature of this coast was the stones studded with black pieces that looked like shredded seaweed. The black pieces reflect the glittering light and look beautiful. My overall review of the stones I picked up was that they were all a bit unsatisfactory, or to put it bluntly, they were ordinary, but the expressions were different from the stones I had picked up before, so I felt like this was a good thing.
Look again. It’s normal after all. There is a stone with an orange base and sesame-like spots, which is probably igneous rock, but this type of stone repeats the same pattern and has little development on the surface, making it difficult to express individuality. It may not be a very pleasant stone for stone collectors.
In fact, when you truly love stones and become even richer in your heart, you may be able to understand the goodness of these stones.
→Various stones I have picked up so far
First of all, all the employees had to eat dinner, so we headed to an inn in Hakata.
I almost forgot that I was on a company trip.
Dinner is full of quests.
After that, we had free time again, so a few of us went to Tenjin for drinks.
Tomorrow’s trip plan is to have free time all day. This isn’t a company trip anymore.
whatever. Now, it’s finally time to pick up the stones.
how do you do.
